Rev. Stephen F. Whaley, Rector
The Rev. Stephen F. Whaley joined the St. Peter’s family on July 23rd 2018. Fr. Stephen was born and raised in the Houston area. He was ordained in the Diocese of Texas in 2003 and enjoys serving as a priest and pastor. He has served several communities in the diocese including, Kingwood, Nacogdoches, Center, and Stafford. He earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Design at Texas A&M University College of Architecture and his Master of Divinity at The University of the South, Sewanee. He and his wife, Kate have been married since 1997. They have two children, Matthew and Mary Kathryn. Fr. Stephen enjoys concerts, watching sports, and cycling.

Deacon Michael Farnell, Curate
Deacon Michael and Karen join us fresh from the School of Theology, Sewanee, where he earned a Master of Divinity. Dcn. Michael began a two-year curacy at St. Peter's in July, 2024 and anticipates becoming a priest in early 2025. He served in ministry as music director in Baptist churches for twenty years. He and Karen married in Fort Worth in 1989 and lived there for thirty years where they raised their three grown children. Karen earned a BSN from TCU and works as a Registered Nurse. Dcn. Michael enjoys many interests, including woodworking with and collecting hand tools, aviation, investing, astronomy and computers.

Dr. Joanne Clark, Music Director
Joanne Vollendorf Clark, our Music Director moved to Brenham from Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Clark studied at The University of Michigan with Dr. Robert Glasgow and Sacred Music at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She has worked with Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, and Episcopal faiths and taught at Wayne State University, University of Detroit Mercy, and at Marygrove College where she was Chair of the Music Department for six years. In the past, she has been Dean of the American Guild of Organists, Ann Arbor and Detroit Chapters, and State Chair of Sacred Music for the American Choral Directors. She has been heard in concerts in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Texas, Michigan, California, Austria, Czech Republic, Spain, England, and Canada.
Joanne grew up on a dairy farm in rural Wisconsin. Her hobbies include cooking, listening to music, and studying antiques. She finds Brenham to be a very friendly community and is enjoying meeting people and working at St. Peter’s.

Patrick Morris, Parish Administrator
Patrick has been an active part of the St. Peter's family for over two years serving in various capacities within the community. While visiting family, Patrick started attending St. Peter's before moving to Brenham and fell in love with the community. In the summer of 2023, Patrick took on the Parish administrator role at St. Peter's. He enjoys assisting with spreading the work of God's Kingdom in Brenham and beyond. Patrick is currently discerning a call to the monastic community of St. Gregory's Abbey in Three Rivers, Michigan beginning Advent 2024. In his spare time, he enjoys reading about the lives of the Saints, antiquing, and hanging out with his two Dogs, Scottie & Simon.
